What causes a nickel (five cent piece) to leave a black line on my cheek?
I’ve heard two reasons…
1.) It is a sign that you have LOW IRON??
2.) It is a chemical reaction between cosmetics and the coin?
Which one is correct? I’m curious to know the mechanics behind the explanation. Thanks.
Alot of you are saying its cuz the nickel is dirty, is that just a way to get points or what?? there is NOTHING black on the edges of a nickel that would cause a transfered black line … I’m serious … TRY THIS …
Take a nickel, WASH IT if you MUST … and draw a line on your cheek … on SOME PEOPLE it leaves a BLACK LINE on OTHERS it leaves NOTHING …
PLEASE DONT RESPOND WITH THE NICKEL IS DIRTY …. Its quite obvious that change is not the cleanest thing in the world, however they are NOT BLACK by any means …
it’s because the nickel is dirty. low iron means anemia, where your blood is low in iron. i dont think rubbing a dirty nickel against your check will tell anything about a sickness, it just makes your skin prone to acne.
