How do i dye my hair black without dyeing and ruining my blonde streaks?
How can i dye my hair black ( im naturally dark brown) without getting dye on my blonde bits? is there a way of preventing the dye from touching your hair or something? tips? help me!
It depends how fiddly your blonde streaks are. I’d suggest, as another answerer did, vaseline, or hair wax, and covering it in foil or cling film. Something that will stick and cover it. You may however, depending where the blonde is, get away with just clipping it out the way and covering it in wax.
Apply the black dye slowly and carefully, and wash it out quickly with COLD water, and that should stop any bleeding getting on the blonde. Rinse until water runs clear.
If it does bleed onto your blonde streaks however, it should wash out from the blonde eventually (it did for me anyway, i put shampoo on my blonde dry to help it along)
