Do I have cancer? Can chest X-ray fail to identify lung cancer as old as 9 years?

I’m 34 years old. I have never smoked. Nine years ago, I developed pain in my trachea. The pain spread to the lungs and a few weeks later, I experienced some piecing like symptoms all over the body, which stopped a week later. Since then, I have hard constant but bearable irritation in my thorax, I sometimes have a dry cough, and sometimes I feel like miner pains in my bones. For the last 9 years, the above symptoms have not affected my physic .in fact; I have put on weight and look physically health in spite of the constant pain. The pain however has greatly increased. I have hard X-rays thrice and the recent one was last week. All x-ray result suggests my thorax is very normal. Could it be small cell lung cancer? Can chest X-ray fail to identify lung cancer as old as 9 years?

If you had small cell lung cancer for 9 years you would not need a chest x-ray as you would be dead. Yes you need help.
