Ordering stuff from Bass Pro or Cabelas ???

I’m thinking about ordering a Pflueger President off of Cabelas or Bass Pro’s website. I’m wondering if the reel would get here without any damage. If anybody has ordered a reel or any other product from Bass Pro or Cabelas, could you please tell me how the shipping was? How fast was it? Was the packaging good? Did the item have any damage to it? And which one is better to order from? Bass Pro or Cabelas? Thanks

I use Bass Pro Shops now instead of Cabelas…I had a problem with the quality of some of their rods and they did not want to compensate me for the defect…give me another rod yes, but not even a small gift certificate for their rod breaking once on the hook set and the next one breaking while swinging a 2lb Bass in the boat, and the first one cost me some money because it was a good fish and would have filled out my limit and put a better check in my pocket (because the rod broke, it cut my line)…I broke a Bass Pro Rod week before last (my Mama closed it up in the truck gate and they sent me another one in two days and gave me a $20 Gift Card…all I do is Bass fish, and Bass Pro has more items than Cabelas which in my mind is more geared to hunting and camping than fishing…but it is your choice, they both are about the same on shippments and prices…but I like Bass Pro better, and it seems their “Store Brands” are of a better quality than Cabelas…hope this helps…
