Can you interpret this poem?

“Incarnation”
In the blind a bird dog watches
as you become irretrievable
and snow geese come down from the east.
Your children look for you where you are not.
In the basement of the house.
The ties we find are drunk with animal life:
the pheasants set in whiskey-colored frieze.
Heavy English jackets laid like skins.
My milk teeth in a drawer.

I taste you in smoked meat near the bone.
My lungs run, sick and guttural and gold.
You faced an animal. It said, “It hurts so much.”

Firstly, I have to say that the following is speculation, nothing definite. Also, who is the poem by?
“In the blind a bird dog watches
as you become irretrievable
and snow geese come down from the east.”
The person is ‘irretrievable’, even for a dog. A dog usually ‘retrieves’ a stick or somethingthat has been thrown, so maybe the character has been thrown around (though it’s not yet clear whether this is mentally or physically).
“Your children look for you where you are not.”
This is a married or committed person. They have children, thus meaning their relationship is inescapable.
“The ties we find are drunk with animal life:”
A drunken one-night-stand maybe? Perhaps this is how the children came about. This would explain the lack of compassion in the relationship.
“My milk teeth in a drawer.”
This implies innocence tucked away. It doesn’t give away muchmore, but an immediate conclusion to that kind of thing might be sexual abuse. But I’m not sure.
“I taste you in smoked meat near the bone.”
A primal, savage kind of taste. Not a nice thing to be compared to.
“You faced an animal. It said, “It hurts so much.”"
The person that tastes like ‘smoked meat,near the bone’ is clearly the animal. The person is perhaps misunderstood.
