In general, what’s the cost to fly with a dog?
I’m planning on going to see my friend in July for about a week, and there’s no way in hell I’m leaving Boo (my papillon) in the care of my mom for that long, so that leaves me one choice. Boo will fly.
I just need to know what to budget into my savings for the round trip plus vet visits *prolly about $100 total for those, tops.* Like, give me the ball-park. $1-2-3-400?

She can probably be carry-on if she’s tiny enough. Call your airline. Many airlines won’t fly a dog in cargo during July or when it gets like 80 degrees. The cargo hold is heated/ AC and pressurized, however waiting on the tarmack during loading is too much. I would suggest you leave the pup home with Mom if she can’t fly with you. Cargo fees are based on the size of the dog and destination. Dogs must have a health certificate from a vet, be in good health and have their shots. I’ve flown 100# Bloodhounds coast to cost and it’s about $600(one way) including a airline approved crate. Hope this helps.
