What does H-Dist1.00 prism for both eyes in glasses mean and is it easily correctable?
I have been going to the same independent optician for a while, but was never completely happy with the prescription. I recently went elsewhere for a second opinion and think the new prism part of my prescription should have been included much earlier. Was just wondering exactly what it means and whether it can be completely corrected over time. Would not having it sorted earlier would make it worse and can you get contacts with prisms?
I am also slightly long-sighted with astigmatism. Happy with new prescription 
Prism glasses are used to correct double vision problems and they do not affect eyesight, they just correct it while wearing them.
You cannot get prisms in contact lenses because in a prism both lenses need to be together in contacts they are individual.
