What should I do with old 35MM film reels from the 1920′s?

I have many cans of 35MM film reels from the 1920′s in my possession. These are old films were filmed by chauffers of the rich and possibly famous of their family get togethers in ritzy Hillsborough just south of San Francisco. Is stock footage like this valuable to anybody and how would I find them? Ebay? I’m also told their silver in the film but I hardly think there’s enough there to be of any value.

They are far more valuable as film than silver.

1920s history of the rich is hugely popular.

I would check into local history museums and historical societies…I bet they would love to have them.
