Concerning “Tropic Thunder”?
Okay, normally I would be offended at the word “Retard” and people portraying the mentally disabled as inhuman and blah blah blah….
But why is everyone getting so upset over the R-Word in Tropic Thunder?
I have Aspergers Syndrome. I know it’s not as severe as Classic Autism, but that shouldn’t matter. I’m still mentally disabled.
I think the Aspie stereotypes are hilarious! I’d rather be called a Retard than a terrorist (some people think that AS is linked to criminality and terrorism- A load of bullshit)
Plus, there’s a white guy that plays a black guy. If the black community can deal with that, why can’t the mentally disabled and their families deal with it?
