You have just tied the knot and are finally living your dream. You have found your best friend and now have the opportunity of living with him/her for the rest of your life. What a wonderful opportunity for you. Marriage is an adventure and you have every reason to be excited about each day of the rest of your life, because it will be spent with people who adore and love you; however with that in mind, change in your life is eminent.

Prior to marriage, life was all about you. It was a time when all you had to worry about were things that effected your life; however this has changed somewhat. Because there are now two of you, its vital that each party remembers every decision has the power to affect each of your lives. This is a blessing because you will now be required to work as a team toward similar goals. It is a chance for you to grow closer together as a couple and to strengthen your marriage.

Marriage will require sacrifice. There will be times when the things that you want must be put behind the needs of those who you love. It will be a change for you to put those needs before yours and at times it will test your patience. This is your chance to show your true love for your significant other. This doesnt mean that you will never be able to do things that make you happy, but it means that both parties will get to do things that give their lives balance and provides personal value.

You will learn to communicate as you have never communicated before. You will learn how to understand what your better half is saying to you, both with words and without. There will be times when you will misunderstand and it will lead to disagreements, but these times are chance for you to learn and to grow. Marriage requires work because both parties have to let down their walls, and realize that being right isnt always the best way. It will require trust, patience, and commitment, but its rewards will be felt throughout your entire life.

Work at your marriage. You have the opportunity to make your life better through years of service and commitment to the person who means the most to you. Throughout time you will have the chance to not only bring more meaning to your life, but will have the fantastic chance to touch the lives so many through your example in your own marriage. It will be felt long after your life is over. Enjoy your marriage and live it up because there are so many who wont get to experience the things you have coming.
